MORNING HACKS TO SAY BYE-BYE TO SLEEP 😴 AND GET YOUR STUFF DONE 📝

Do you strive to wake up from your cozy bed? Are you a person who turns off the alarm and goes off to sleep?

Hey I was also that kind of a person who would think early morning was a disaster and sleep was my best friend and yes I was a sleeping beauty. So here I m with 5 hacks for you to say bye-bye to sleep and get your stuff done.

1) DO NOT SNOOZE:

Yes that’s right, do not hit the snooze button. if you have a problem like that keep your phone away from you somewhere on the desk, where you can wake up and put off the alarm. In that way, you wake up from your bed and you less likely don’t sleep again and with that, the other hack goes is

2) MAKE YOUR BED:

As you wake up to make your bed. Fold your sheets, arrange your favorite pillows, tidy up the bed and you will less likely to fall asleep again.

3) DRINK GLASS OF WATER:

I keep my copper bottle next to my bed, as I wake up I drink at least 1 glass of water. In that way, you hydrate yourself first thing in the morning and also by drinking water you say bye-bye to your sleep. So hydrate yourself first thing in the morning.

4) EXERCISE / GO FOR A WALK:

Moving your body cuts off your laziness and desire to go back to sleep. Do some stretches, yoga, 10 min workout is enough. Exercise increases, energy, battles fatigue, and you feel happy and energies for the rest of the day.

5) DON’T STUDY OR WORK ON YOUR BED:

Now let me tell you how your brain works. When you sit on the bed to study, your brain is like its time to sleep, and automatically after a few minutes, you find yourself yawning because your bed is meant to sleep not to study.

Have a designated workspace or study space where you only do your productive stuff and your brain will be like let’s switch to study mode because you are at your study space.

So here were my 5 hacks to get rid of sleep in the morning and get your stuff done for the rest of your day. in this way you be productive, less sleepy and you will get your task done for the day. Take a Cold shower🚿 for increasing your productivity

A cold shower🙄 sounds a bad idea. How can I take a cold shower in the morning I will freeze? Isn’t it.

This kind of excuses we all make to avoid a cold shower. We feel comfortable having a warm bath. But actually, when I take a warm bath I tend to sleep😴 is this thing happen to you as well?

I love a cold shower. I have a habit since I was a kid. So a cold shower has never been so hard to put up with. But all are not a cold shower lover. Let me tell you a secret.

So as we take a cold shower it increases the hormone norepinephrine which gets released into the brain where it functions as a boost to your energy, alertness, and concentration and leads to focus.

I know to shiver, teeth-chattering all kinds of torture but it’s worth it. The first two days will be hard but then all is gonna be fine. Your body is gonna get used to it. It will increase your metabolism and efficiency to work for long hours.

You will experience the magic that will be done by taking a cold shower. Your ability to work, concentration level will just be at the peak.

I have listened to a podcast long back I still remember it’s all about cold shower. I will link that below in case anyone has to check that episode.

Hey lovelies, how are you all? Hope you all are well. So here at “The Sunday recommendation blog”, I thought to share my favorite podcasts that I have been listening to. The habit of listening podcast I have inculcated in this 2020 its good to hear about what other people think, their ideas and strategies overall its great for personal development.

So here are my top 5 favorite Podcast😃

1) THE PRODUCTIVE WOMEN BY Laura McClellan :

This podcast is my personal favorite. This Podcast focuses on helping busy women to find tools and encouragement to get their life easier and manage stress, time, and help to accomplish their goals. In this podcast, she gives tips about productivity and shares how she schedules her day and all productivity-related stuff. This podcast is especially for the women out there. In her recent episode, episode 300 she talks about “Meaningful Productivity” that episode is just one of my favorites. I started listening to this podcast 1 month ago, and now I am so obsessed, that I am listening from the start. The way she explains and her tips are so realistic I really love it. 2) THE MINDSET MENTOR BY Rob dial :

This podcast has really helped to develop my mindset. In this podcast, he shares all about motivation, focus, goals, mindset, and personal development. This podcast is not more than 20 mins so I always listen when am having breakfast or when I am in the shower. He really explains everything amazingly and his tips are worthy of a shot because it’s helpful and easily applied. You should really check this out.

3) THE MINIMALISTS PODCAST BY Joshua Fields Millburn & Ryan Nicodemus :

This podcast as the title suggests it’s all about minimalist living. In this podcast, they not only share about how to own less but also how to get away from negative stuff that doesn’t serve you any purpose. Their tips about digital minimalism and how to own less is just helpful. I love their 5 questions that we should ask ourselves before buying anything.

As I am starting to inculcate the habit of minimalism, I want to encourage you all to cultivate this habit. As a teenager, I have lots of things I own. When I buy certain stuff, I just buy to make me feel better or just to show others and I have understood that as in recent episode 247 Owning less, I re though once that how stupid of me that I been buying so many stuff just to make me happy for a certain while and after that, it is just lying around in one corner of the house. I will be talking about the whole idea of minimalism on my other blog but till then check this podcast out it’s really helpful.

4) AFFIRMATION POD BY Josie Ong :

This is my go-to affirmation podcast. Its soothing affirmation with self-love, good sleep, morning affirmations, guided meditation, etc. I have downloaded the Affirmation Pod app itself. I listen to this app in the morning as well as at night and also when I need some relaxation or when I feel low this Podcast is all in one. It’s great if you download the app it’s free and also you can listen, there are categories where you can find suitable affirmation and download it and listen to it. Her voice is so soothing and comforting you will love her affirmations you should check this podcast out.

5) KALYN”S COFFEE TALK BY Kalyn Nicholson :

This is my last but my favorite podcast I listen to this when I am doing self-care activities or having a nice warm bath. This podcast is especially for all the ladies out there. Just brew your coffee and listen to this podcast she is just amazing. She talks about self-care, how to overcome pain or how to train your pain you can listen to this in a recent podcast. I love how she explains everything with her experiences and her thoughtful ways have taught me a lot. So I highly recommend this podcast it has really helped me a lot let me know if it helps you.

A HABIT THAT WE SHOULD ALL CULTIVATE💕

Hey lovelies, what is that one habit we should all develop? Any clue 🙄.

It is of course “Gratitude“.

The term gratitude means “Grateful“.

Are we grateful for the life God has given us? Are we grateful for his mercies his love, compassion? Are we grateful for the food we have for clothes we have or the shelter we have? Are we grateful for that oxygen that we can breath?

Be grateful❤

In hospital, ventilators are provide if a person can’t breath it’s so hard for them to actually just take few breaths.

We have beautiful life. We have people who loves us who nurture and take care of us.We have those beautiful house where we can rest and stay in peace. We get good food. We have all that we want.

But still, we as humans are never content with what we have.

Couple of verse I love from the Bible which is related to contentment-

1st Timothy 6:7-8 “For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that”

Philippians 4:12 “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want”

In short being content with what we have. Being grateful and respectful with what we have, and we will never lack anything. Show your gratitude towards God, your family, loved ones, your partner and your friend. Show them how much they mean to you and how grateful you are as they are in your life.

There was a song I would always love in childhood and I still love that is “Jehovah Jireh

He listens to us, in our distress, in our pain in our happiness and comforts us with his everlasting love and compassion❤

God is marvellous. He has said he will supply all are needs, then why are we worried. I will be talking about Matthew 6:25 which is a my favourite passage in Bible in my other post because there is lot to say on that.

Developing a habit of gratitude is important. Be thankful to our heavenly father for everything, not expecting anything but just thankful for your existence on this earth. That’s all it is be grateful. Appreciate all things even sky those chirping of birds, those blooming flowers. That rainfall and when that rain stops that beautiful rainbow that just appear in the sky.. be grateful for that.

Happiness is somewhere hidden in that sense of gratitude when you are content with what you have you are happy. Seeing that rainbow, even when that butterfly flies across you, that cute smile just can’t be measured.

For all those little moments be thankful and cherish them. That’s all what I want to say today.

MY TOP 5 TIPS ON HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR FOCUS

Everyone gets 24 hours in the day. You must be wandering, how successful people focus on their task and get things done with the same 24 hours has u have. On youtube you will find thousands of videos of how people be productive all day and get their work done. We have same 24 hours , that is why it is so important how to focus, so you can be productive as you can with the time you have. So wanna be pro like them ?

So here are my top 5 tips on how to Maximize your focus

1) STAY AWAY FROM YOUR PHONE AS LONG AS POSSIBLE: To be specific stay away from your phone in the morning. Instead of focusing your self first thing in the morning, what we all do is grab your phone. What generally i do is as soon as i wake up, i turned off the alarm and keep my phone aside. I then Pray .Praying to god telling him how grateful you are for this day and for his grace and mercy on our lives. Keeping Jesus in the first place you will never be last. Unlike other people I do meditation. Meditating calms your mind, and you be stress free. I will write whole other blog about my routine how i start my day.

So wakeup 30 mins before to get start your day. Be proactive not reactive first thing in the morning, keep that phone away what happens is that when you scroll on social media and news first thing in the morning thats where u go on reactive mode to reply text or emails. This leads to negativity that lingers around your mind. Instead on focusing on your self you focus what others are doing this leads to sadness and than you dont feel good about yourself. So we should be proactive, start your day with good intentions, with a purpose and self-development.

What about when you are studying or doing some project, keep aside your phone.turning off all the notifications, keeping on airplane mode or blocking social media by certain apps that is available like freedom or best way just keep your phone in some other room it really helps to focus. What i wanna say is dont waste your time. Use your time efficiently which indeed contributes to focus and get your work done.

2) PREPARE YOUR BRAIN : If you are working on one task and you want to do another task dont just switch between task but first take few deep breaths calm your mind down. Just check the schedule what you want to do exactly than go for it, what it does it kind of make your brain aware of the activity you want to do and prepare for it. This way it enhances your focus and you can do your task more productively.

Your brain works at its best when its focusing on one task and you get lots of ideas to do your work efficiently.

3) PUT YOUR HEADPHONES ON: If you dont have lots of space at home or you have a big family, try using headphones for that hardcore productivity. Its actually found out that, if you use your headphones you are less likely to get distracted. listen to white noise or lo-fi music on Spotify.There is playlist I made, u can listen to while you studying and doing your work “Study vibeshttps://open.spotify.com/playlist/6RnugAqFbd0FF4cyilKYDJ?si=phOIRGJxRryXMuXVK7lz4A” on Spotify. On youtube there is a Binaural deep focus music you can listen to that I love it you should really really check this out.

It is found out that if you listen the same kind of music when you are performing your important task you are most likely to focus because your brain gets used to that and it sends signal that this hour you should be focusing. I do use that trick hope it works for you and if it does comment down below.😊

4) USE POMODORO TECHNIQUE : This technique is really helpful. Set timer on your phone for 25 mins and focus all your mind on to that task. as the timer goes off stop and then take break for 5 mins. Repeat this 4 times and then take break for half hour. It takes 10 mins for your mind to focus, and your focus raises at start and than drops after certain time. Take breaks to re-energize and then again start focusing on task.

5) USE DISTRACTION SHEET : This is my most favorite technique to get focus. Take a notepad and a pencil or maybe a sheet. Keep aside while you are working. If something pops in your head maybe a reminder for your meeting or maybe a assignment to submit write down on that sheet and keep aside and start working again. What this does you dont keep worrying about certain things while you are working you just have to write on that sheet you can be stress free and the clutter in your mind gets jotted down on that sheet , and your mind is free and you can focus better on your task with all your attention.

In short, be focus be consistent on your goals. Eat healthy, feed your mind with positivity. Habits can’t be develop in one day “Consistency” is a key. Practice meditation it helps to increase your Focus.

MY TOP 10 TIPS ON HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED AND PRODUCTIVE

In this time as we all are stuck in our homes, it is really hard to stay motivated and productive. What productivity really means to us? Is it busy being productive?

The answer is no. There is a difference between being busy and productive. Being busy is agitated while being productive is focused. Being busy is been fueled by perfectionism, being good at every single thing, while being productive is fueled by purpose being great at few important stuff. So lets see my top 10 tips on how to be motivated and productive.

1) KNOWING YOUR WHY : Why are you doing this work? Or why are you studying this subject? Even smallest thing like why are you cooking this meal?

Of course because you are hungry and you want to eat. In the same way you are studying because you want to enter in some university for that you need good grades or you need to study to get qualification for certain job. Knowing your why is important. To reach your goal you need to take certain steps towards achieving it . So keep your goal in mind and start studying. It motivates me to study or do certain work .

2) PLANNING : Planning your day or week even month can be useful to you to stay motivated because you know exactly what you want to do next without wasting any time thinking or procrastinating on the certain task. You can use Google Calendar or even Phone calendar to plan.

3) SET YOUR MORNING ROUTINE : Having a morning routine is important. How you start your day sets the tone for the rest of your day. The early hours of the day, your concentration level is at a peak, so we can focus better what is in front of us. Eat your ugliest frog first that means do the important task first and you can be stress free the whole day. By having a good routine you can be productive and motivated the whole day.

4) STUDY OR WORK ON YOUR DESIGNATED WORKSPACE : Having a designated workspace is important . Select a corner of a room with a good desk and comfortable chair where there is a proper light. Don’t clutter your desk it leads to distractions. Keep only those things that you need like stationary etc. It helps to stay focus on task and not procrastinate on other things.

 5) GETTING DRESSED : To get dressed up or stay in your pajamas?

Getting dressed helps you to feel productive because it signals you that you are on the “WORK MODE“. If you have to take online classes or meeting via Zoom, you need to be presentable. Getting dressed really enhances your productivity levels. So just throw that pajamas off and grab your favorite outfit and be ready for the day.

6) SCROLL ON PINTEREST FOR INSPIRATION : I am kind of a girl who will scroll on Pinterest for any inspiration. Find quotes that inspires you that motivates you to do your stuff. You can print those quotes and stick on the wall mostly where you study and get inspired. You can follow me on Pinterest for inspiration https://in.pinterest.com/NehaM890/boards/

7) EXERCISE : Moving your body first thing in the morning cuts off your laziness and desire to go back to sleep. Exercise keeps your body and mind healthy it raises your energy levels, combacts stress, battles fatigue, and improves your well being. When you feel happier and energized you are more efficient to complete the task of your day.

 8) JUST START : Just start. I know it sounds simple, but these two words can be very powerful. The task that you have been procrastinating for so long, just take that for example, may be you want to write essay of 1000 words , open your Microsoft Word or take a note book and start with a title, than maybe just one paragraph, your mind automatically will force you to complete that task . Just one paragraph will turn into 2 and so on and you will finish your essay. Start taking action and you will finish the task with no time.

9) REMOVE ALL THE DISTRACTION : Your phone at the same time can be your best friend and your worst enemy. Don’t be slave of technology , don’t let technology control you but you should control it. While you working keep aside your phone turn of all the notifications ,may be put on airplane mode or keep your phone in some other room. Other distraction like, your cluttered workspace. Clean your room set a timer for 10 mins everyday and remove all the unnecessary things on your desk the less things, less you will get distracted.

  • 10) STOP MULTITASKING : Multitasking dilutes your focus and attention even the easiest tasks become much harder and take longer to complete. Studies have shown that while you are multitasking, you are in fact switching from one task to the another. Your attention is switching between two or more pieces of work that slows down your working capacity. Focus on one task. Complete that and than move to the another one in that way you are completely focused on one particular task.

In short , to maximize your productivity it is important to have dedication, patience and hard work. Have realistic goals and stick to it. Remain consistent. I guarantee, you will be on the highest peak of productivity.
